How to use

The AKENA hair weft is versatile and can be easily adjusted to suit your needs. These extensions can be sewn onto braids or attached using micro rings, clips, or glue.

Our weft is full and soft from root to tip and can be styled just like your natural hair - cut, curled, straightened, dyed, and bleached. However, we advise you to consult with your stylist before cutting or changing the color of your extensions.

Use the weaving method to sew in all or parts of the hair, make a wig, or apply glue.

Each package contains 100 grams of hair extensions. If you're looking to fill in your hair, one package may be sufficient. For a fuller and longer look, we recommend using 2-3 packages. Consult with your stylist for their professional recommendation.

Sourcing: Our standard human hair extensions are sourced from multiple donors, offering various hair textures and qualities.

Processing: These extensions undergo minimal processing, including basic cleaning and sanitization to remove impurities.

Steam Processing: Steam processing is used to achieve consistent textures, such as waves or curls, while maintaining the hair's natural state.

Quality: Standard quality may vary, lasting 6 months to 2 years with proper care. Minimal shedding occurs, primarily when cutting the weft during installation.

Maitenance

Proper care and regular use can keep your extensions looking great for up to 1.5 years!

To maintain your Yemaya ponytail extension with its wavy 2a texture, we suggest rewetting and detangling the hair at least once a week. Here's how to properly care for your extensions:

1. Optional: Apply your favorite detangling conditioner and gently detangle with a brush or fingers before showering.

2. Wet the hair and cleanse with a gentle shampoo or co-wash. Alternate co-washing with a real shampoo every other wash to remove product buildup.

3. Apply conditioner and detangle with a paddle brush, wide-tooth comb, or fingers.

4. Part hair into sections, detangle from ends to roots, and let conditioner sit for at least 5 minutes before rinsing out.
